Quotes
Pull quotes
These are short quotes that appear in a box to the right of the main content. They must be concise.
Block quotes
These are longer and are dropped into the main body of the page. They are used to draw attention to a relevant point or observation.
Block quotes must:
- Be succinct (maximum one short paragraph) and to the point
- Credit the author/speaker

Where a quote is more than one paragraph, each paragraph must start with a quotation mark but only the final paragraph should end in one:
"It’s been a real struggle for people coping with the drought. More and more owners started coming to us saying that they couldn’t feed them without help, so we decided to take action.
"It hasn’t been easy, but we’re so glad that this feeding has made a difference. We’re looking forward to working with the communities here to come up with long term solutions, and stop this from happening again."

Use double quotes at the start and end of a quoted section, and single quotes for quoted words within that section. Place full stops and commas inside the quotes for a complete quoted sentence, otherwise they should be placed outside:
"Anna said: 'Your style guide needs updating,' and I said: 'I agree.' "
"Anna said updating the guide was 'a difficult and time-consuming task'."
