Logo
Our logo represents our mission to end the suffering of working horses and donkeys.
The logo shows a horse and donkey moving away from the darkness of poor working conditions and harm, into the light of a healthy quality of life.

Logo to mark Brooke's 90th anniversary year 2024
The 90th logo will replace the original Brooke logo in all offline and digital communications in the UK for the duration of 2024, and for country programmes to use when speaking about Brooke as a global organisation. If you need to print something that has a shelf life beyond the end of 2024, such as headed paper, or an information leaflet, please use the original logo. If in doubt, use the original logo.

Clearance area
The clearance area around the logo must always be the equivalent to the height of the ‘A’ in Action. This clearance area should also include the descriptor ‘Action for working horses and donkeys’.
When used on backgrounds and photography, the logo and descriptor should be shown within the white box that surrounds the logo.
Minimum size and restricted usage
The minimum size the logo can be used at is 25mm in width.
Exceptional usage
This exceptional version of the logo can only be used with express permission. It is only to be used in extremely restricted environments (for example, pens).
Regional versions
The regional versions of the logos are to be used in specific areas.

For digital use
The logo should always be displayed as a full signature lockup. However, as with the 'exceptional usage' example above, there are instances when reproduction of the descriptor at small size is not advisable or possible.
In these instances, for example on mobile screens or sticky headers, we have omitted the descriptor line.
Profile pictures
There are various sizes for profile pictures/avatars for use across all social channels so you will need to adapt accordingly.
To ensure consistency ensure there is enough white background surrounding the logo so it does not appear to be cropped on the social media profile. It should look something like the below.
Brooke Shop
The Brooke logo without the descriptor is used for the Brooke Shop website.
In partnership
All supporting messaging can sit on the edge of the logo clearance area, ideally set in our primary typeface (see Typography section).

Don'ts
Below are examples of how not to alter Brooke’s logo:
Greyscale version
The greyscale version of the logo is to be used in more restricted environments (for example, newsprint).
Favicon
Favicons are the small branded icons found on the tabs at the top of your browser window. Favicons are designed to appear across all browsers.
They vary in size from 16px through to larger tiles for windows and tablet bookmarks.
The Brooke logo is too intricate for small display, we have used the letter ‘B’ with recognisable design elements: Namely the typeface, colour and the bevel.
